As BaliSouk specializes in direct sourcing and handcrafted furniture produced in Bali, international shipping follows established global trade standards that are inherent to purchasing directly at the source.

By placing an order on BaliSouk, you expressly acknowledge and accept the Terms of Service, the Shipping Policy, the Delivery conditions, and the Cancellation & Refund Policy, all of which form an integral and binding part of your purchase agreement.

Every BaliSouk order is shipped with full insurance coverage, at no additional cost.

Below, you will find a detailed overview of our shipping and delivery process, designed to be clear, reassuring, and aligned with international trade practices applicable to direct sourcing.

1. Order Processing and Dispatch

Once your order is confirmed, it is reviewed and processed by the BaliSouk team. Orders may concern products produced exclusively upon order or products already manufactured and held in limited stock. In all cases, items are immediately reserved or scheduled specifically for you.

Following confirmation, order details are transmitted to our production workshop in Bali. Artisans prepare, pack, and secure each item with care, in accordance with international shipping standards. Processing begins promptly after confirmation.

How Order Processing and Dispatch works:

Timeframe: From 2 to 20 days on average, depending on product availability and production requirements
Our actions: Review, assignment, coordination, and proactive customer updates
Balinese artisans’ role: Preparation, picking, quality control, and packing

2. Shipping from Bali

Once prepared, items are dispatched from Bali, Indonesia. Shipments may be handled directly by the workshop for local logistics or by selected international freight forwarding companies for international transport.

Shipping durations generally range from 1 to 6 weeks after dispatch, depending on destination, shipping method, carrier schedules, port operations, and customs procedures.

Shorter delivery times may apply to nearby regions such as Asia and Singapore. Longer delivery times may apply to Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the United States, and other distant destinations due to international freight transit and customs clearance.

Shipping costs depend on destination, product dimensions, and shipping method. Final shipping fees are displayed before checkout or confirmed prior to shipment. The shipping amount paid at checkout covers international transportation, packing, and insurance under the applicable shipping terms.

By placing an order, the Customer acknowledges that BaliSouk operates under international shipping terms and that certain destination-related costs are not included in the shipping fees paid at checkout.

How shipping fees are calculated

Shipping fees are based on the following criteria:

  • Size (total size of all items)
  • Weight (total weight of all items)
  • Volume (total volume of all items, which is the primary criterion)
  • Destination (exact delivery location)

Based on these elements, the most suitable shipping method is selected to ensure safe and efficient transport: Sea Freight Forwarding Companies or Air Freight Forwarding Companies.

Freight forwarders always select the most appropriate solution based on cost efficiency and safety. In some cases, smaller items may be shipped by air if this represents a more economical solution. Larger furniture items are generally shipped by sea freight.

Sea freight shipping by cargo remains the most cost-effective solution for furniture. Sea freight fees are calculated based on size, weight, volume, and quantity, from Bali to the nearest suitable port according to freight forwarding conditions.

Sea freight shipping fees are calculated and displayed at checkout. These fees are included in the total amount paid when confirming your order.

Freight forwarding rates may fluctuate due to global market conditions. BaliSouk does not control these variations. In rare cases, adjustments may be required after booking. When applicable, such adjustments may result in a partial refund or an additional charge, subject to prior communication.

How Shipping Works

Calculation: Based on total size, weight, volume, and destination, shipped by sea or air

Our actions: Assignment to the freight forwarding company and ongoing follow-up

3. Tracking Your Shipment

Once your order has been dispatched, tracking information is provided when available. You may access order updates through your BaliSouk account and receive email notifications as your shipment progresses.

Tracking availability and update frequency depend on the carrier and shipping method used. BaliSouk monitors shipments and remains available to assist with general tracking inquiries.

Timeframe: From dispatch until delivery, depending on destination
Our actions: Order status updates through your BaliSouk account
Freight forwarding company’s actions: Shipment transport and status reporting

Direct Sourcing & International Delivery

BaliSouk operates under international shipping terms applicable to direct sourcing. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, shipments are conducted under Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF) terms to the destination port.

Under these terms, the Customer acts as the show as importer of record and remains responsible for compliance with local import regulations, customs clearance, taxes, duties, port charges, handling fees, and final delivery arrangements beyond the agreed shipping scope.

International purchases inherently involve destination-specific procedures and costs that vary by country, region, and time period. These elements are part of standard international trade and are not controlled by BaliSouk.
