🤔 How shipping fees are calculated?

Shipping fees are based on 4 different criteria:

• 📏 Size (total size of all items)
• ⚖️ Weight (total weight of all items)
• 📦 Volume (total volume of all items - this is the most important criteria!)
• 📍 Destination (your exact address - or the exact delivery address)

Then based on these criteria, shipping fees will be defined by our Freight Forwarding Companies.

😇 Does it worth to pay Shipping Fees?

Yes, it is absolutely worth paying the shipping fees on your order. 🎚️ Calculation: Depending of the total of items (size, weight, volume), Sea or Air
⏳ Timeframe: From 1 to 6 weeks (average time) depending of the final destination
📋 Our actions: Assign the order to the Freight Forwarding Company, and follow-up to update our clients
🚢 Sea Freight Forwarding Company's Actions: Onboard & Ship items by Sea (most probably) or by Air (small items).

🤓 Which unit is using for shipping fees?

Generally, shipping fees are calculated according to the cubic meters used.

One Cubic Meter (1 CBM) costs from $85 USD up to $350 USD accordingly to current prices available. on the market and of course based on the final destination. The Shipping Fees will mainly depend of the distance and the cubic meters used.

🤨 FCL or LCL Container?

The shipping is mainly done with LCL shipping. LCL stands for Less than Container Load and refers to sea shipping for cargo that is not large enough to fill a full 20ft or 40ft shipping container.

🧐 What if my order has many Cubic Meters?

If your order has a bigger volume, the shipping could be done with FCL Shipping. FCL is an abbreviation of Full Container Load. It means goods from a single shipper occupy the entire container.

A 20ft container has a capacity of approximately 33 cubic meters (33 CBM), while a 40ft container has a capacity of around 67 cubic meters (67 CBM).

🥳 Are shipping fees discounted for large orders?

Our pricing becomes progressively more affordable as the volume increases (measured in cubic meters). For example, shipping 2 cubic meters (2CBM) to the USA costs $500 USD. However, shipping a full 20ft container (FCL), which holds approximately 33 cubic meters, costs around $4,000 USD at current rates, translating to about $120 USD per cubic meter.

🙂 Is there a minimum volume?

However, there is also a minimum volume requirement for shipping your items by sea. In fact, 1 cubic meter is the minimum volume. For this reason, our Freight Forwarding Companies opt for air shipping, which is more economical and better suited for smaller volumes.

😉 Shipping by Sea or by Air?

The most suitable shipping method is chosen to ensure your package arrives safely in optimal condition : Sea Freight Forwarding Companies OR Air Freight Forwarding Companies. 

Please note that our Freight Forwarding Companies will always select the best compromise for you by reducing shipping fees. In this case, your products could be shipped by Air Freight Forwarding Companies such as DHL, UPS or Fedex. Indeed, sometimes based on your products (which means size, volume and weight), if they are small, it's sometimes cheaper to send them by plane.

However, if your order doesn't match with Air Freight Forwarding Fees, which is the most cases for furniture, then our Freight Forwarding Companies will choose Sea Freight Forwarding Companies such as CMA CGM, Maersk, MSC, Hapag-Lloyd, EverGreen Marine, Cosco Shipping, Ocean Network Express, Yang Ming Marine Transport, ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, Pacific International Lines, Expeditors International, DSV Panalpina, Sinotrans and more.
