This variation of the Antiparos Coffee Table builds its rectangular top from seven narrower teak logs rather than five, achieving the same overall 130-centimetre footprint with a more finely segmented, textural surface pattern across the top of the piece.
Using a greater number of narrower log sections changes the visual rhythm of the tabletop considerably, each log contributing a smaller but more frequent grain variation across the surface compared to the bolder, wider segments of the five-log version. Balinese furniture makers select and align each of the seven logs carefully to sit level atop the black metal frame, a more intricate matching process than the five-log arrangement requires.
The slender black metal legs beneath provide the same clean, contemporary counterpoint found across the Antiparos line, keeping the considerable visual texture of the log surface from tipping the piece into an overly rustic register.
