Suar wood's dramatic, wide grain patterns come through clearly in the natural finish, each piece carrying its own distinct pattern as a result of being carved from an individually sourced section of solid timber rather than a uniform, manufactured material.

Its compact scale makes the table genuinely practical for smaller rooms or tighter spaces beside a bed or armchair, offering just enough surface area for a lamp, a book, or a drink without demanding significant floor space in return.

Balinese woodworkers shape the piece to highlight suar's natural character, working with the timber's existing grain and colour variation rather than disguising it beneath a heavy stain or paint finish that would flatten its distinctive texture.
