The Baru Desk is a teak wood desk with real handcrafted character, measuring 140 × 60 cm and 75 cm high. It makes working from home feel less like an office and more like a retreat.
The best teak is cut from the heart of the trunk, and that is the only part we use — it is denser, darker and far more stable than the outer sapwood. In our Indonesian workshops, the wood is shaped, sanded and finished by hand, step by step, by cabinetmakers who have done nothing else for twenty years. A wipe with a soft, dry cloth is all it needs day to day, and an occasional teak oil keeps its warm tone alive.
Paired with earthy tones, natural fibres and a jute rug, it creates a warm, layered boho living room. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials.
