Say hello to the Box Coffee Table: a teak wood coffee table shaped by hand in our Java workshops, measuring 120 × 60 cm and 45 cm high. It becomes the centre of the room: books, ceramics, a candle, a pair of feet.
Teak has long been the wood of choice in Indonesia for pieces meant to last, thanks to a dense grain and natural oils that protect it from humidity. In our Indonesian workshops, the wood is shaped, sanded and finished by hand, step by step, by cabinetmakers who have done nothing else for twenty years. Dust it dry, wipe spills as they happen, and give it a coat of teak oil once a year if you want to hold the golden tone.
Surround it with texture — a rattan basket, a linen cushion, an unglazed bowl — rather than more colour. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda.
