Rattan is a climbing palm from the forests of Southeast Asia: light, flexible when steamed and remarkably strong once it dries in shape. Our Balinese weavers work the fibre strand by strand, building the pattern entirely by hand. Natural rattan meets solid teak, a pairing that brings contrast and depth to the design. Hand weaving leaves subtle irregularities in the pattern, the proof that every piece was made by hand. Dust it with a soft brush and keep it indoors or under cover, away from direct rain.
