The Dorset 5 Post Lux Chair is built from solid teak wood with a water-based finish, its considerable 61 by 62 by 110 centimetre proportions and distinctive five-post backrest bringing genuine dramatic, architectural seating into a terrace or garden.
Choosing a water-based finish over an oil-based alternative offers genuine practical benefits, the surface drying to a considered matte quality that remains durable and easy to clean after regular outdoor use.
The distinctive five-post backrest design offers genuine structural interest beyond a plain, solid-panel back, the vertical posts bringing a more considered, architectural silhouette into the chair's overall form.
Its considerable 110-centimetre height makes the Dorset a genuine statement seating piece, the tall backrest offering real dramatic presence beyond a purely functional garden or terrace chair.
Solid teak construction gives the chair genuine structural longevity, the timber's natural oils providing inherent resistance to moisture and pests that many other hardwoods lack, suited to years of outdoor use.
Within a bali furniture terrace or garden, the Dorset brings genuine architectural presence and solid teak craftsmanship together. Because water-based finishes dry without leaving a strong odour, this chair is ready for everyday outdoor use sooner than an oil-finished alternative would allow. A lasting favorite among buyers who value genuine handcraft over uniform, mass-produced alternatives. Timeless in its material honesty, and suited to interiors built to last well beyond passing trends. Genuinely considered, genuinely well-made, and built to last for years of regular use throughout a home. A dependable, versatile choice suited to both everyday use and more considered entertaining occasions. Genuinely distinctive within the wider collection, and increasingly popular among buyers seeking authentic craftsmanship. Built to age gracefully, this piece rewards the kind of daily use that lesser furniture simply cannot withstand. Each piece is individually handcrafted using natural materials. Subtle variations in shape, proportions, color tones, and weaving details are inherent to artisanal production and part of the uniqueness of every creation.
Exceptional materials. Handcrafted by our artisans in Bali. Made to last. Every BaliSouk creation brings authentic boho and bohemian style together with skilled craftsmanship, traditional craft techniques and direct-from-Bali value.
Our boho and bohemian teak furniture is handcrafted from solid teak, one of the world's most prized furniture timbers. Naturally rich in protective oils and valued for stability, strength and longevity, teak is chosen for furniture designed to be kept rather than quickly replaced.
From material preparation and assembly to hand sanding, detailing and finishing, every stage passes through the skilled hands of our artisans in Bali.
Our boho and bohemian furniture and decor draw on the craft traditions for which Bali is known. Our artisans shape, assemble, weave, carve, sand and finish by hand according to the needs of each piece.
True boho and bohemian style is not about disposable trends. BaliSouk pieces combine considered materials, skilled craftsmanship and careful construction so they can remain part of a home for years to come.
Your BaliSouk boho and bohemian piece is made to order and handcrafted in Bali by our own artisans. We do not outsource the craftsmanship to external artisans: human skill remains at the heart of every stage.
BaliSouk supplies private customers and international retailers. Buying directly from Bali gives you access to authentic handcrafted boho and bohemian furniture and decor before the additional layers of wholesale, distribution and traditional retail markup.
