Our teak comes from managed plantations on Java, where trees are left to reach full maturity — the dense, oily heartwood is what makes outdoor teak last. It is built the slow way — hand-cut joinery, hand sanding through three grits, and a finish applied in thin coats rather than sprayed on. Leave it to silver, or sand lightly and re-oil once a year to hold the honey colour. Both are correct.
It works as well for a family breakfast in the sun as for a long dinner under lights. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials.
