Made by hand in Bali, the Frankfurt Arm Chair is a rattan armchair in the brown antique wash finish, measuring 71 × 61 cm and 91 cm high. It invites you to sit back, slow down and enjoy the moment, whether with a book or a cup of tea.
Light but resilient, rattan is one of the most versatile natural fibres, as happy in curved frames as in fine, tight weaves. The weave is built row after row by hand, following techniques passed down through generations of Balinese craftspeople. The combination of natural rattan and solid teak gives the piece both strength and a softer, tactile side. Hand weaving leaves subtle irregularities in the pattern, the proof that every piece was made by hand. A soft brush and a slightly damp cloth are all it needs; keep it sheltered from rain and strong sun.
