The Hiroshima Chair is built from solid teak wood in a grey washed finish, its 50 by 54 by 77 centimetre proportions offering a genuinely cool-toned, single-material seating piece suited to a considered dining or living room setting.
Achieving a grey washed finish over solid teak requires the artisan to apply the treatment in a way that still allows the timber's natural grain to show through, the resulting surface reading as genuinely weathered rather than opaquely painted.
The grey wash gives the chair a considerably more contemporary, neutral presence than the collection's typically natural-toned teak seating, its cool tone reading confidently against a range of surrounding interior palettes.
Left uncushioned, the chair's silhouette relies purely on the grey washed teak frame to carry the design, the neutral tone bringing genuine visual sophistication without requiring additional cushioning or upholstery.
This considered grey wash treatment has made the Hiroshima a popular choice among buyers wanting a genuinely contemporary neutral seating option distinct from the collection's more common natural-toned teak chairs.
Within a bali furniture dining room or living room, the Hiroshima brings genuine contemporary neutrality and considered craftsmanship together. Because the grey wash finish is applied by hand across the frame, achieving even coverage requires genuine skill and patience from the finishing artisan on this piece. Built to age gracefully, this piece rewards the kind of daily use that lesser furniture simply cannot withstand. A lasting favorite among buyers who value genuine handcraft over uniform, mass-produced alternatives. Timeless in its material honesty, and suited to interiors built to last well beyond passing trends. Genuinely considered, genuinely well-made, and built to last for years of regular use throughout a home. A dependable, versatile choice suited to both everyday use and more considered entertaining occasions. Genuinely distinctive within the wider collection, and increasingly popular among buyers seeking authentic craftsmanship. Built to age gracefully, this piece rewards the kind of daily use that lesser furniture simply cannot withstand. A lasting favorite among buyers who value genuine handcraft over uniform, mass-produced alternatives.

Exceptional materials. Handcrafted by our artisans in Bali. Made to last. Every BaliSouk creation brings authentic boho and bohemian style together with skilled craftsmanship, traditional craft techniques and direct-from-Bali value.
Our boho and bohemian teak furniture is handcrafted from solid teak, one of the world's most prized furniture timbers. Naturally rich in protective oils and valued for stability, strength and longevity, teak is chosen for furniture designed to be kept rather than quickly replaced.
From material preparation and assembly to hand sanding, detailing and finishing, every stage passes through the skilled hands of our artisans in Bali.
Our boho and bohemian furniture and decor draw on the craft traditions for which Bali is known. Our artisans shape, assemble, weave, carve, sand and finish by hand according to the needs of each piece.
True boho and bohemian style is not about disposable trends. BaliSouk pieces combine considered materials, skilled craftsmanship and careful construction so they can remain part of a home for years to come.
Your BaliSouk boho and bohemian piece is made to order and handcrafted in Bali by our own artisans. We do not outsource the craftsmanship to external artisans: human skill remains at the heart of every stage.
BaliSouk supplies private customers and international retailers. Buying directly from Bali gives you access to authentic handcrafted boho and bohemian furniture and decor before the additional layers of wholesale, distribution and traditional retail markup.
