The Karu Teak Stool is a teak wood stool designed and handmade in Indonesia, measuring 45 × 22 cm and 45 cm high. Small, solid and full of grain: the piece that finishes a corner.
The grain runs long and straight, with the occasional ripple where a branch once grew — the wood's own record of how it lived. Jepara has been Java's woodworking town for four centuries, and the hands that build this piece learned the trade from their fathers. No polish, no wax, no special product: a dry cloth, and teak oil once in a while.
Group two or three together for a sculptural composition, or leave one on its own as a quiet accent. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda.
