Sharing its 58 by 56 by 78 centimetre proportions with the wider Kennedy family, this Armchair With Wooden Slat Seat is built entirely from water-based natural teak wood, offering a genuinely single-material silhouette.
Choosing a water-based finish over an oil-based alternative offers genuine practical benefits, the surface drying to a considered matte quality that remains durable and easy to clean over years of regular use.
The wooden slat seat construction offers genuine structural ventilation and a distinctive linear texture, distinguishing this Kennedy from the family's more common woven, cushioned, or leather-upholstered alternatives.
Left entirely in solid teak, the chair's silhouette relies purely on the timber's natural grain to carry the design, developing a soft patina over years of regular use without requiring additional cushioning.
Balinese furniture makers shape the solid teak using traditional joinery techniques suited to the timber's particular density, ensuring genuine structural longevity across years of everyday seating use.
Within a bali furniture living room, this chair brings genuine single-material craftsmanship and distinctive slat texture together. Because water-based finishes dry without leaving a strong odour, this chair was ready for everyday use sooner than an oil-finished alternative would allow. Built to age gracefully, this piece rewards the kind of daily use that lesser furniture simply cannot withstand. A lasting favorite among buyers who value genuine handcraft over uniform, mass-produced alternatives. Timeless in its material honesty, and suited to interiors built to last well beyond passing trends. Genuinely considered, genuinely well-made, and built to last for years of regular use throughout a home. A dependable, versatile choice suited to both everyday use and more considered entertaining occasions. Genuinely distinctive within the wider collection, and increasingly popular among buyers seeking authentic craftsmanship. Exceptional materials. Handcrafted by our artisans in Bali. Made to last. Every BaliSouk creation brings authentic boho and bohemian style together with skilled craftsmanship, traditional craft techniques and direct-from-Bali value.
Our boho and bohemian teak furniture is handcrafted from solid teak, one of the world's most prized furniture timbers. Naturally rich in protective oils and valued for stability, strength and longevity, teak is chosen for furniture designed to be kept rather than quickly replaced.
From material preparation and assembly to hand sanding, detailing and finishing, every stage passes through the skilled hands of our artisans in Bali.
Our boho and bohemian furniture and decor draw on the craft traditions for which Bali is known. Our artisans shape, assemble, weave, carve, sand and finish by hand according to the needs of each piece.
True boho and bohemian style is not about disposable trends. BaliSouk pieces combine considered materials, skilled craftsmanship and careful construction so they can remain part of a home for years to come.
Your BaliSouk boho and bohemian piece is made to order and handcrafted in Bali by our own artisans. We do not outsource the craftsmanship to external artisans: human skill remains at the heart of every stage.
BaliSouk supplies private customers and international retailers. Buying directly from Bali gives you access to authentic handcrafted boho and bohemian furniture and decor before the additional layers of wholesale, distribution and traditional retail markup.
