The best teak is cut from the heart of the trunk, and that is the only part we use — it is denser, darker and far more stable than the outer sapwood. Woodworking here goes back more than four centuries, and the hands that build this piece learned the trade from their fathers. No polish, no wax, no special product: a dry cloth, and teak oil once in a while.
