Teak is the only tropical hardwood that carries its own protection: silica and natural oils locked inside the fibre, which is why it outlives everything around it. Jepara has been Java's woodworking town for four centuries, and the hands that build this piece learned the trade from their fathers. Left alone outdoors it will silver into a soft grey patina; a light sanding and an oil brings the honey colour straight back.
Add washed linen, a rattan light and almost nothing else — that is the whole recipe. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials.
