Rattan canes are steamed, bent into curves and woven by hand, a technique that lets Balinese artisans draw soft, airy lines. The weave is built row after row by hand, following techniques passed down through generations of Balinese craftspeople. Here, natural rattan is paired with solid teak for a balance of structure and texture.
