The MD Modular Sofa Double is a teak wood outdoor sofa designed and handmade in Indonesia, measuring 180 × 90 cm and 65 cm high. Built for long evenings outside, with a drink and no reason to go back in.
Only heartwood goes into outdoor furniture: it is denser, darker and far more stable than the outer sapwood. Jepara has been Java's woodworking town for four centuries, and the hands that build this piece learned the trade from their fathers. No treatment is required. A wash with soapy water in spring is all most owners ever do.
