The Metis Round Dining Table is a teak wood dining table designed and handmade in Indonesia, available in 4 sizes, from Ø 80 × 75 cm to Ø 150 × 75 cm. It anchors a dining room the way a good table should: quietly, and for years.
Knots, grain lines and subtle shifts of colour are the signature of real teak, not flaws to hide. It is built the slow way — hand-cut joinery, hand sanding through three grits, and a finish applied in thin coats rather than sprayed on. It is shipped knock-down — flat-packed and ready to assemble — which keeps the volume down, protects the piece in transit and makes it far easier to carry through doors and up stairs. No polish, no wax, no special product: a dry cloth, and teak oil once in a while.
It sits well with rattan seating, stoneware and a single long candle down the middle. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda.
