The Metis Square Dining Table is a teak wood dining table with real handcrafted character, available in 4 sizes, from 80 × 80 × 75 cm to 150 × 150 × 75 cm. It anchors a dining room the way a good table should: quietly, and for years.
Fresh teak starts golden and deepens over the years into a warm amber — the piece you receive is the youngest it will ever look. Nothing here comes off a production line: the joints are cut by hand, the surfaces sanded by hand, and each piece is signed off one at a time. It is shipped knock-down — flat-packed and ready to assemble — which keeps the volume down, protects the piece in transit and makes it far easier to carry through doors and up stairs. Left alone outdoors it will silver into a soft grey patina; a light sanding and an oil brings the honey colour straight back.
It sits well with rattan seating, stoneware and a single long candle down the middle. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda.
