The Nalini Stacking Batyline Chair is a teak wood patio chair designed and handmade in Indonesia, measuring 56 × 58 cm and 87 cm high. Light enough to move with one hand, solid enough to leave out all season.
Only heartwood goes into outdoor furniture: it is denser, darker and far more stable than the outer sapwood. Nothing here comes off a production line: the joints are cut by hand, the surfaces sanded by hand, and each piece signed off one at a time. No treatment is required. A wash with soapy water in spring is all most owners ever do.
Mix it with mismatched chairs and hand-thrown plates for that collected, unstudied look. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials.
