The Nepi Sun Lounger is a teak wood sun lounger built to live outside, measuring 200 × 85 cm and 30 cm high. Poolside, in the shade, with nothing to do for an hour.
Teak is the only tropical hardwood that carries its own protection: silica and natural oils locked inside the fibre, which is why it survives outside without treatment. Jepara has been Java's woodworking town for four centuries, and the hands that build this piece learned the trade from their fathers. No treatment is required. A wash with soapy water in spring is all most owners ever do.
