Say hello to the Oot Dining Chair: a teak wood dining chair shaped by hand in our Java workshops, measuring 52 × 54 cm and 78 cm high. A chair you notice first for its shape, then for how good it feels to sit in.
Fresh teak starts golden and deepens over the years into a warm amber — the piece you receive is the youngest it will ever look. Jepara has been Java's woodworking town for four centuries, and the hands that build this piece learned the trade from their fathers. Left alone outdoors it will silver into a soft grey patina; a light sanding and an oil brings the honey colour straight back.
It sits well with rattan seating, stoneware and a single long candle down the middle. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda.
