Achieving a black wash finish over solid teak requires the artisan to apply the treatment in a way that still allows the timber's natural grain to show through, the resulting surface reading as genuinely rich.
Balinese furniture makers shape the solid teak using traditional joinery techniques suited to the timber's particular density, ensuring genuine structural longevity across years of regular household use.
Within a bali furniture living room, the Portia brings genuine graphic contrast and considered solid teak craftsmanship together. Our boho and bohemian furniture and decor draw on the craft traditions for which Bali is known. Our artisans shape, assemble, weave, carve, sand and finish by hand according to the needs of each piece.
True boho and bohemian style is not about disposable trends. BaliSouk pieces combine considered materials, skilled craftsmanship and careful construction so they can remain part of a home for years to come.
Your BaliSouk boho and bohemian piece is made to order and handcrafted in Bali by our own artisans. We do not outsource the craftsmanship to external artisans: human skill remains at the heart of every stage.
