The Reno Dining Chair is a teak wood dining chair with real handcrafted character, measuring 58 × 58 cm and 78 cm high. Comfortable enough to keep guests at the table for another hour.
In Java, teak is called the king of woods, and a well-made teak piece is still traded second-hand two generations later. In our Indonesian workshops, the wood is shaped, sanded and finished by hand, step by step, by cabinetmakers who have done nothing else for twenty years. Left alone outdoors it will silver into a soft grey patina; a light sanding and an oil brings the honey colour straight back.
Hang something woven above it, keep the table almost bare, and let the wood be the decoration. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. It is specified regularly for resorts, villas and restaurants, where it has to look good and survive daily use.
