Teak has long been the wood of choice in Bali for pieces meant to last, thanks to a dense grain and natural oils that protect it from humidity. In our Bali workshops, the wood is shaped, sanded and finished by hand, step by step. Knots, grain lines and subtle shifts of colour are the signature of real teak, not flaws to hide. A water-based finish protects the surface while keeping the natural look and feel of the wood. A wipe with a soft, dry cloth is all it needs day to day, and an occasional teak oil keeps its warm tone alive.
