The Sally Teak Stool is a teak wood stool designed and handmade in Indonesia, measuring 35 × 35 cm and 45 cm high. Stool, side table or bedside perch — it moves wherever the room needs it.
The best teak is cut from the heart of the trunk, and that is the only part we use — it is denser, darker and far more stable than the outer sapwood. It is built the slow way — hand-cut joinery, hand sanding through three grits, and a finish applied in thin coats rather than sprayed on. Left alone outdoors it will silver into a soft grey patina; a light sanding and an oil brings the honey colour straight back.
It works at the end of a bed, in a hallway, beside a bathtub or as extra seating when friends arrive. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda. It is specified regularly for resorts, villas and restaurants, where it has to look good and survive daily use.
