The Shuka Dining Table is a teak wood dining table designed and handmade in Indonesia, available in 2 sizes, from 130 × 130 × 75 cm to 150 × 150 × 75 cm. It is the table people linger at long after the plates are cleared.
Knots, grain lines and subtle shifts of colour are the signature of real teak, not flaws to hide. In our Indonesian workshops, the wood is shaped, sanded and finished by hand, step by step, by cabinetmakers who have done nothing else for twenty years. It is shipped knock-down — flat-packed and ready to assemble — which keeps the volume down, protects the piece in transit and makes it far easier to carry through doors and up stairs. A wipe with a soft, dry cloth is all it needs day to day, and an occasional teak oil keeps its warm tone alive.
It works as well for a family breakfast as for a long dinner with friends. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda.
