Knots, grain lines and subtle shifts of colour are the signature of real teak, not flaws to hide. In our Indonesian workshops, the wood is shaped, sanded and finished by hand, step by step, by cabinetmakers who have done nothing else for twenty years. A wipe with a soft, dry cloth is all it needs day to day, and an occasional teak oil keeps its warm tone alive.
Hang something woven above it, keep the table almost bare, and let the wood be the decoration. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda.
