The Stuttgart Daybed is a handmade rattan daybed in the natural finish, 155 cm in diameter and 67 cm high. Inspired by the pavilions of Balinese villas, it turns a terrace or poolside into a private retreat.
Rattan canes are steamed, bent into curves and woven by hand, a technique that lets Balinese artisans draw soft, airy lines. The weave is built row after row by hand, following techniques passed down through generations of Balinese craftspeople. The combination of natural rattan and mahogany gives the piece both strength and a softer, tactile side.
Dress it with cushions and light curtains for the full Balinese pavilion effect. In a boho setting, it mixes effortlessly with woven textures, soft neutrals and plenty of greenery. As a natural material, it is happiest indoors or on a well-sheltered veranda. Pair it with a matching side table and a woven rug for a complete outdoor lounge. Sturdy enough for daily use, it is equally at home in a private house, a villa, a hotel or a restaurant.
