The Sumiko Dining Table is a teak wood dining table designed and handmade in Indonesia, available in 4 sizes, from 180 × 100 × 75 cm to 240 × 100 × 75 cm. Long lunches, slow dinners and everything in between happen around a table like this.
The grain runs long and straight, with the occasional ripple where a branch once grew — the wood's own record of how it lived. In our Indonesian workshops, the wood is shaped, sanded and finished by hand, step by step, by cabinetmakers who have done nothing else for twenty years. It is shipped knock-down — flat-packed and ready to assemble — which keeps the volume down, protects the piece in transit and makes it far easier to carry through doors and up stairs. No polish, no wax, no special product: a dry cloth, and teak oil once in a while.
It sits well with rattan seating, stoneware and a single long candle down the middle. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda.
