The Tamarin Block Stool is a tamarin wood stool designed and handmade in Indonesia, measuring 35 × 35 cm and 45 cm high. A solid slice of suar wood that works as a seat one day and a side table the next.
The timber is selected board by board in our Java workshops, then air-dried before a single cut is made. Every piece passes through the same small workshop in Jepara, where one craftsman follows it from the first cut to the final sanding. Dust it dry, wipe spills quickly and feed it with a wood wax once a year.
Stand it beside a sofa with a book and a candle on top, or line two of them up along a wall. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda.
