The Tulis Desk is a teak wood desk designed and handmade in Indonesia, measuring 120 × 50 cm and 75 cm high. Solid, quiet and warm under the hand: the kind of desk you keep for twenty years.
Teak is the only tropical hardwood that carries its own protection: silica and natural oils locked inside the fibre, which is why it outlives everything around it. Nothing here comes off a production line: the joints are cut by hand, the surfaces sanded by hand, and each piece is signed off one at a time. Left alone outdoors it will silver into a soft grey patina; a light sanding and an oil brings the honey colour straight back.
It reads beautifully against off-white walls, terracotta pots and a wide-plank floor. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials.
