The U Coffee Table is a teak wood coffee table designed and handmade in Indonesia, measuring 120 × 60 cm and 40 cm high. It becomes the centre of the room: books, ceramics, a candle, a pair of feet.
Run a hand along it and you feel the difference: a faint waxiness that is the wood's own oil, not a finish. It is built the slow way — hand-cut joinery, hand sanding through three grits, and a finish applied in thin coats rather than sprayed on. Dust it dry, wipe spills as they happen, and give it a coat of teak oil once a year if you want to hold the golden tone.
It reads beautifully against off-white walls, terracotta pots and a wide-plank floor. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Thanks to its solid wood construction, it can also live on a covered terrace or veranda. Hospitality projects order it by the container: it holds up to constant use without losing its character.
