Few timbers age as gracefully as teak: its natural oils help it resist moisture and insects, and its honey-gold grain deepens with the years. From raw timber to final finish, the piece passes through the hands of skilled Balinese woodworkers. Knots, grain lines and subtle shifts of colour are the signature of real teak, not flaws to hide. A water-based finish protects the surface while keeping the natural look and feel of the wood. Low-maintenance by nature, teak asks for little more than a gentle clean and, if you like, a touch of oil once or twice a year.
