The Wishbone Paper Rope Dining Chair is a teak wood dining chair designed and handmade in Indonesia, measuring 51 × 55 cm and 76 cm high. Comfortable enough to keep guests at the table for another hour.
Our teak comes from managed plantations on Java, where trees are left to reach full maturity before being felled — which is why the grain is so tight. It is built the slow way — hand-cut joinery, hand sanding through three grits, and a finish applied in thin coats rather than sprayed on. Left alone outdoors it will silver into a soft grey patina; a light sanding and an oil brings the honey colour straight back.
It works as well for a family breakfast as for a long dinner with friends. It celebrates the boho way of living: slower, warmer and closer to natural materials. Many of our clients choose this kind of piece for villas, boutique hotels and beach clubs as well as for their own homes.
