Made by hand in Bali, the Casablanca Bench is a water hyacinth bench in the natural finish, measuring 90 × 30 cm and 45 cm high. It offers extra seating with a relaxed, sociable feel that chairs alone cannot give.
Water hyacinth stems are harvested, sun-dried and braided by hand into a soft, chunky weave. The weave is built row after row by hand, following techniques passed down through generations of Balinese craftspeople. Here, water hyacinth is paired with solid teak for a balance of structure and texture.
It also works beautifully at the foot of a bed or along a garden wall. Combine it with woven pieces, ceramics and warm neutrals for a boho look that feels collected over time.
